How enrollment works

  1. 01

    Get in touch

Call (856) 667-0962 or email colorsinrainbows@gmail.com. Tell us your child's age and the days you need. We will talk through your schedule, answer your questions, and explain what comes next. You can also ask for the enrollment packet, which includes the forms we need to prepare for your child's care.

  2. 02

    Tour the room

Come see the classroom your child would join. Meet the teachers who run it and watch how the room is set up for play. Ask your questions while you are there. Then tell us what you need and we will assist you.

  3. 03

    Enroll and settle in

Complete your enrollment forms. Plan a first week that suits your child's routine and the days you need. Our daycare and preschool programs support children as they grow. A packet explains how we run each day and what to complete so we are ready for your child.

What to have ready

Most families gather their enrollment forms, a health form and immunization record, emergency contacts, and the names of people allowed to pick up their child. Our packet explains what we need and how we operate each day. Send us a message and we will help you prepare.

Pack a change of clothes, outdoor gear for the season, and nap items if your child rests here. Mats are provided, and families send a blanket and sheet, taken home weekly for washing. Children who no longer nap rest quietly for 30 minutes. Send a comfort object if it helps.

Before the first day, sort out who drops off and who picks up. Parents sign their child in each morning and make sure a staff member is supervising before leaving. At pick-up, notify a staff member and sign your child out. Tell us how you want to hear about the day.

The first weeks

First days often go better when they are shorter. A child may come for part of a morning and build up from there. A familiar object from home can help. A teacher greets your child by name and stays close while they find their footing.

At pickup, teachers tell you what your child did, what they ate, and how they rested. They share what went well and what was hard. Most children settle within a few weeks. Ask any time you want more detail about your child's day.

What families ask

What about tuition?

Ask about current rates when you call or tour. They depend on your child's age and schedule.

What ages do you take?

Children from 6 weeks to 5 years.

Can we visit before deciding?

Yes. A tour is how most families decide, and children are welcome to come along.

What should my child bring on the first day?

Most families pack a change of clothes, a comfort object if it helps, and nap items. Label everything with your child's name. A blanket and sheet go home weekly for washing.

How do you handle the first weeks?

Most families start with shorter days and build up as their child gets comfortable. A familiar object from home, like a small blanket or toy, can help. At pickup, the teacher tells you how your child ate, napped, played, and settled.

What does a typical day include?

Days are built around arrival and sign-in, play and learning, meals and rest, outdoor time, and pickup. Children who no longer nap rest quietly for 30 minutes before calm activities. Mats are provided for each child. We are open Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

How will I know how my child is doing?

Most parents hear about the day at pickup, when a teacher shares how their child ate, napped, and played. Some families ask specific questions then, and teachers answer. If you want to know more about routines before you enroll, ask during your tour.

Do you offer part-time or flexible schedules?

Schedules depend on your child's age group and what openings we have. Call or email us to ask what is available for the days you need.

What if there is no place right now?

If there is no place right now, ask us to let you know when one opens for your child's age. We will tell you as soon as we can.

What should I ask on the tour?

Ask about our hours, our daycare and preschool programs, and which ages we serve. Ask how pickup works, and how the first weeks for a new child are usually handled. Ask what a typical day looks like, and what you should pack. Write down what matters most to your family and bring your list.
